WCAG - Sections 1.2.-3.1 (A-AAA)
To meet governmental requirements and allow people with various disabilities to use the platform, it will be necessary to update the platform according to the version of WCAG 2.1. Enhanced accessibility ensures compliance with WCAG guidelines for better user experience.
WCAG - Section 1.4 - Distinguishable: The visual presentation of text and images of text now meets the contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1. Exceptions include large-scale text and images, which have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1, as well as text that is part of an inactive user interface component, pure decoration, or logos. Additionally, text can now be resized up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality, excluding captions and images of text.
WCAG - Section 2.1 - Keyboard: The platform is now fully keyboard accessible, adhering to WCAG 2.1 guidelines for improved usability and inclusivity. For more information, visit: WCAG 2.1 Keyboard Accessibility.
WCAG - ARIA Label Compliance: This update ensures our platform meets WCAG guidelines by defining accessible names with ARIA labels for screen readers. The enhancements cover various areas including appropriate alternative text for images, descriptive form buttons and input labels, semantic markup for headings and tables, informative headings and labels, proper use of ARIA to enhance accessibility, and ensuring accessible names include visible text. These changes significantly improve the accessibility and usability of our platform for users with disabilities.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - High Contrast Toggle Button: Introduced a new button in the dropdown main menu to enable or disable the high-contrast feature, meeting accessibility guidelines. The button, replacing the "Referral Program" option, is positioned sixth in the menu. When deactivated, it reads “Enable high contrast” with a grey accessibility icon, and when activated, it reads “Disable high contrast” with a blue accessibility icon.
